Prof Spiros 10, Canadian Geese Nil

Attesting to my Professor's hard line on how the modern generation has become lazy; On a field trip we encountered some good old Canadian geese. We were already running late but this geese were taking their sweet time in clearing off the driveway to make way for us. Little did the geese know they had managed to get under our beloved professor's skin.

The next thing that come out the prof's mouth I have no doubt in my mind is arguably the most memorable thing apart from the Brun's Formula or BClB transpose chant that he religiously preaches about that I will come out with from his lectures. "Goddamn these geese, they have become so lazy that they no longer fly south! " He exclaimed. That just cracked me up it was a nice joke yeah but knowing him as the tough task master I was like, damn professor can not even take it easy on Canadian geese! He applies his strict standards homogeneously to all aspects of life. Kudos to all of us who have passed through his classes.

No wonder we seem never to be able to catch a break from him.

Entry after a long exhausting heights network design field work..

AGE OF NEW REVOLUTION - Call it Occupy Movement

The urge to write about the following topic has been high in my agenda for say six months, all I have been waiting is the right amount of voltage to spark all of my cylinders to life. Well just yesterday the 23rd of July 2011 a quaint rally amidst a city under-siege by a heat wave just brought about that right atmosphere that I was seeking at the least to supply some needed material into this blog entry.
The setting of this rally was at Allan Gardens at that city block defined by four streets namely Jarvis St at the west, Carlton St on the north, Gerrard St East at the south and Sherborne St at the east flank. This park is set right in the middle of a very diversified community which represents a snap shot of a very Metropolitan city aptly named the Hog town. To break down these communities who reside within say kilometer radius from this epicenter you will find the ultra-chic Yorkville on the north west where you find the Toronto version of the Range Rover shopping center whereby in the recent past the most expensive condo in Canada was sold for $26M, the west you will find Yonge St and a block further Bay St the Canadian version of Wall St. On the North east in the neighborhood found on the north east quadrant of Sherborne St and Wellesley St you find the low income families predominantly welfare recipients. Lastly to the west you will find another low income neighborhood Regent Park which is undergoing transformation from majorly government held to now a hybrid of condos and some full market rent government housing. This transformation has led to pushing out these quasi homeless people from formerly subsidized housing to now shelters and street corners near the epicenter where the rally was being held.

Tail End of snaking line. In the back ground the "STOP THE WAR ON THE POOR" sign.
The head of the snaking line-up.
So on the said Saturday I was driving northwards on Sherborne St and I saw this long line snaking through the park and right at the head of this snake was  a BBQ bellowing some thick smoke up in the air at the same time spreading the sweet aroma of grilled meat allover the park. I figured out its probably one of the movie outfits which routinely set up movie and TV sets just showing some appreciation to the local folks for constantly intruding into their lives. So I kept rolling by until one banner crossed my view and hit me like an exploding airbag!

The free BBQ Line-up
The line-up Continues

The banner read "STOP THE WAR ON THE POOR" and to my mind I was Yes! at last people are waking up to the new era reality. Since 1950's slowly and steadily the voice of middle class has muffled up, in the period coming up to 1970's then is when most of the current working standards were bargained and entrenched in our current labour force. What happened after that slowly the intellectuals slowly moved away from these Labour groups  to safeguard their trades by forming monopolies through labour groups where new additional requirements were established that  one had to clear before joining the fraternity. So just the old notion of just signing a card and presto becoming a member of these Labour groups was no longer a standard form of showing affiliation and there by enjoying the benefits of these associations. Lets name these associations so one can appreciate where I am coming from; teachers, lawyers, engineers, surveyors, nurses, doctors to name those at the top of my head. These intellectuals realised the importance of their trade be recognised by the governments mostly through acts of the legislature. From all these separate groups mind you the bulk of the middle class came different ideologies and therefore different ways of dealing with social issues. In most of my conversation with old timers it has always come to the Nostalgic " back in the days " phrase where mostly the consensus is that the general populous had power in getting their views represented in their respective governments. Mass action albeit in form of the labour movements was the standard way of getting things done. No political party would ignore these groups during campaign time and subsequently when forming the governments.

But that way of doing business was never a good model for the capitalistic corporations since these labour unions stood in the way of extracting maximum mega profits off the workers. When you hear these executives whining about productivity this is exactly what they are talking about. Squeezing the max out the poor little workers. So corporations in turn implemented the good old tactic of divide and conquer by firstly infiltrating the democratic process of electing our leaders by introducing the politics of money whereby the biggest fundraising machine got elected. Secondly for them to de-lever  the leverage the unions had they started pushing for free trade agreements favoring labour fertile countries. Slowly the corporations started shifting their manufacturing portfolios out of the reach of the unions. Now fast forward to the recent times with all the uncertainty in the global markets, food prices are highest levels, terrorism at its peak, record swings in climate activity, inflation raising with no hope of curbing it, political gridlock in all parliaments and to cap it all levels of un-employment at  the peak the number of the very poor in our society keeps growing because all the factors keeps on eroding the middle class and pushes them into poverty. Yet when the financial systems falter its not the capital sitting on the fence that is required to fix these problems but the same poor society is called upon to bail them.

The only positive out of this span of growing anxiety is the rapid development of information transfer. People are now more connected to each other and the state no longer has the reigns on what the populous is tuning to. Information is being streamed by the seconds to mobile handheld devices which have become the source of mass mobilization. In Thomas P.M. Barnett book The Pentagon's New Map he listed a few things that will drive the 21st century and beyond. Two things that resonated with me are one follow the flow of money and two the flow of information. Now the poor have a tool to mass communicate and mobilize themselves in form of social media.

Now on to the real premises of this entry, the gap between the rich and poor is widening and the number of the poor is exacerbated by the current recession where people on the marginal edges of the middle class are being tipped back into poverty. Prolonged periods of  un-employement are putting enormous pressures on individuals and their frustrations are being just compressed. Cutting back of social programs by the governments does not help the situation either. So slowly people have started mobilizing themselves and just like in the case of the Arab Spring movement in the Middle East and recent spat of violence in London a small spark will ignite the very combustible situations all over the globe. All the regions have some region specific catalysts and for whatever the reasons the Governments are weary of what would happen if they experience the push backs from the population. Especially for the developed regions where they have supported these social media activism what will be the response when they have these actions in their backyards.

The spring is heavily loaded and tightly coiled and by Newton's third law for every action there is a reaction, so the question is; if the governments keep loading the spring and assuming the spring obeys Hooke's Law will the spring break or will it just re-coil? I am scared!

Will they shut down the sites or will they infiltrate them just as like current ongoing Chinese crack down?

Are the Chiken Coming to Roost?

At a point during the better parts of week ending June 19th and earlier this week I was starting to feel vindicated. Well you may ask vindicated why? Briefly let me give you a crasher course on "Marsh the oracle". It all started innocently by calling some unconnected sports events in the year 2007 and by the end of the season and better part of the playoff season all of the prior analyzed events came to pass and there it gave me the guts to proclaim myself the "Oracle". Well all the events are well documented in my now defunct yahoo blog profiles.yahoo.com/benmarshbald.

Fast forward to beginning of Obama's reign or rather on the eve of his inauguration I had some questions I wanted to post to the readers on his policies he was advocating towards fixing American economy. Mind you this was a very emotional time for me, given that we were about to witness one of the greatest historic moments in the Great American nation. One of my kinsman was ascending to the throne of the American empire. I will use kinsman carefully knowing my fellow educated friends from the lake would like me to cease and desist from stealing their thunder. Well as I had eluded earlier on I had some questions which yes I remember I worked hard to present before the self imposed deadline the inauguration date.

My friends at that time I had some very grave misgivings on the route that Obama was taking. Literary he was quickly swallowed on Bush's and big corporations "Too Big To fail" propaganda. Well it was desperate times and he rode on Bush's cocktails knowing its was the safe political bet to play. For me I saw those times as reckoning times for self examination especially the Capitalist model that actually brought about the mess in the first place. My point of view was this was a capitalistic problem and therefore needed a capitalistic  fix. By my novice analysis I was seeing the Bush/Obama administrations trying to fix this mess by prescribing a socialist band-aid while capitalistic capital was sitting on the fence waiting for the populous to mend their broken piggy bank.

One year and half years later people like me with 20/20 vision I mean hindsight can start picking apart the stimulus plan and its effect to the economy. In short its has opened this black hole that keeps on swallowing all the stimulus with no little effect in terms of righting the economy.  The republicans have the right agenda in terms letting people feel the pain but am not sure if they will let corporations  or rather corporations let them steer the pain to their direction. Thereby its fairly right to say the people will bring this economy back to life just to hand it over again to the capitalist to rape it. These are the same corporations which insist on off-shoring all manufacturing and IT jobs and then expecting the American to import these goods and services albeit at a cheaper rate but at what expense? Ok let me take you to the Obama even before he was a front runner in the Democrats Nominee, him and his team caused an uproar especially in Canada when they implied they were going to renegotiate NAFTA and all the American bi-lateral trade agreements if he was elected. This kind of statements I believe resonated with Iowa and Ohio caucuses where the bedrock of these states economy relied on manufacturing. Well it got him elected and this to me was the path he should have stuck to. Its common sense good manufacturing jobs pay good wages and from these good wages higher tax revenues can be extracted. Well it seems my observations and macro economic views were somewhat way out there now it seems like Republicans read my blog back then and they advocating pain in terms of budget cuts  a measure I was for but to the corporations.

My next "oracle" proclamation was on the state of economy in my previous blog Entry for December 31, 2009(Economics through Ben's Lens); I pointed then that bubbles were forming all around the globe especially in the Housing markets in Canada and China I also went forward and warned that a correction to a magnitude of 25-30% was in order. Recently in Metro news they came up with publication
http://www.metronews.ca/toronto/business/article/897828--surging-condo-market-can-t-last-analysts just like the good doctor prescribed.

So are the chicken coming back to roost? My guess is good as your guess, but again ain't I supposed to be the oracle? It has become hard to take a peep into the future using the current affairs as basis for trending the future since all these Governments who used to beat at China tactics of economy manipulation especially its heavy hand on the Yuan but are now using the same ol tricks to "correct" thier economiesvaluation as they see fit. This brings me to the third Oracle moment, when I said the BoC will have to raise the interest in the 4th quarter of 2010 this never happened especially where at that time Mark Carney said interest rates will have to be left untouched since some underlying aspects of the economy had not fully recovered. Central bank heads are normally cryptic so I was never concerned with his remarks but one thing I did take out of his remarks was that he was concerned at raising interest rates and inversely applying a hair cut to house prices. So he never touched the interest rates and therefore he did not correct the housing bubble evident all over Canadian big cities. Currently Mark is mulling on whether to stay the course or raise em up but the same ol concerns are still there although other economic indicators like inflation are urging him to raise them up.

So do you think a period of more pain is coming? I say yes it is coming
Is it a double dip recession? I am obliged to say it quacks like a duck walks like a duck it can't be a beaver!

Lousy Migration From Yahoo

Well Since yahoo is closing the curtains on its blogging accounts, it has forced homeless bloggers like me to migrate in search of a arable land. But God this import tool at Blogger is as bogus as it gets. For real it is a rude welcome but do i have choice? Well I am keeping the text files from yahoo just in case the slow nuckle heads at Blogger to come up with a fix to the situation.

In the mean time  the following is all of my collection from yahoo.

Obsessed

Today I looked into the mirror

I saw you

I knocked my head twice to check if I was dreaming

You smiled

That cynical smile that you always wear

When you play tricks on me

I smiled back, but you were gone

Shaking my head

I walked away

Glad to know that you are on my mind.

"Deterrence is a strategy by which governments threaten an immense retaliation if attacked, such that aggressors are deterred if they do not wish to suffer great damage as a result of an aggressive action."
"Focuses on general prevention of crime by making examples of specific deviants. The individual actor is not the focus of the attempt at behavioral change, but rather receives punishment in public view in order to deter other individuals from deviance in the future." Both of these descriptions pulled out of wiki.

Yesterday driving from Gananoque I couldn't help but notice that I was being trailed by a convoy of about  10 vehicles. For a moment i felt like the pace car in a Nascar race only this time rather than doing aimless countless doughnuts was purposely trying to get home in time.

So here am doing a  ridiculous number over the speed limits and what do you know I have 10 that I could count tailing me religiously. Therefore to keep my mind occupied I started running scenarios when OPP shows up.
Scenario one-If he stopped somewhere and waiting for speeders whom in the 10 count would he eventually nub? Not me for sure i will fly past him and if he decides to chase the last car in the count will have to take one for the team.

Scenario two- This is the all scary one, what if I pass one unmarked police car well blended with the slower movers? For sure I am the one biting the hot lead. But in this case what are the odds that I won’t see him and if I don't then it would be a double regrets for speeding in the first place and secondly not seeing the copper.

Third scenario- What if we all bunch up and work as a team I mean not just the 10 vehicles trailing me but all cars on 401 and Ontario wide hwys. Am not an anarchist by any chance but yes all drivers just bluntly ignore the set laws and decide to let it rip. Here am not trying to consider what would happen in terms of fatalities but from the current set limits I guess Carnage would be the best depiction.

Going back to my third hypothesis and tweaking it a lil bit; we are talking about more than a million vehicles speeding with less than 1% of the entire population to enforce the checks and balances. Even if we shrink the million number and just take 10% of the number just the ones with high tendency to deviate from the law or hard headed ones as my primary teacher used to call us. Still the numbers are stack up against the law enforcement and so I had but to wonder why has this never happened? Ohhh yeaah Deterrence(Street racing Law)-The constant persecution of the Ontarian Driver steep fines, loss of vehicles, suspended licenses and yes you need a vehicle the list goes on and on and to cap it all up congested hwys.
Yes Ontario Government is slowly but surely making it difficult for you to drive basically they herding people slowly but steadily to mass transit.
1. Why would the speed limit on the hwys be 40 km/h less than design speeds of the highways?
2. Why would there be long duration construction conveniently in traditional trouble spots done during the day and not night as it should be.
3. Why is the Ontario Govt buying huge tracts of CN land for GO use?
4. Why is the volume rail freight increased all of a sudden? Big Business has already connected the dots.
The questions are many but if one connects the dots it you will conveniently see what am talking about.

So you know me I like putting my theories to test I mean the Deterrence one so I put the peddle to metal and what do you know I instantly lost more than three quarters of my tail and when i went over the 160 mark I was all alone and then it suddenly felt lonely, chilly, sweaty and my heart pace also picked up, I thought I was getting speed sick? oohh noo i realize the deterrence bug had bit me and so in an orderly way pretending I wasn’t scared I came to a manageable pace.

When I got I knew I had to document on how I got Deterred.
Drive Safe.

China and Russia buying the loonie translation buy loots of loonie its going to be strong for the next 4 quarters.
A bubble is forming on Canada's housing markets... My rationale behind this 1.We are overbuilt
2.Expiring tax credits for new home buyers
3.The BoC is poised to raise the interests rates about 400 basis points in a hurry especially if Canada continue to show strength. prediction by the end of the 3rd quarter of 2010.
4.The transition of Canadian from a saver to a spender.
So what would happen if the bubble goes burst?
House prices to drop by 20-30% with an exception of luxury homes which I think they will maintain status quo or may even buck the trend and climb 5-10%.
Well China in the post recession era continues to drive the world economy well if we dig down behind the reasons why you will quickly realise this rationale just buttressing my earlier premises of bubbles formation across the globe.
The Chiness reacted quickly with a tune of 4 trillion dollars to stabilise thier economy and control the situation which was a growing worker decent. The result was unprecedented liquidity in the Chiness financial system coupled with low interests triggering again the cheap money. In the wake of this the real estate realm is so hot in China the likes of US's pre-recession. In my eyes this is the classical example of a bubble building. Just a hypothetical if this bubble bursts will bring down the Chiness economy with it the whole world's can someone say dejavue.
Some analysts are already calling for dow to shed some 40% yeah rationale behind is a double dip recovery so I would conclude by saying keep your cash at hand there is some interesting buying times ahead.
Just wanna be on record

Of late I have the itch to write something relevant to the current status of everything pertaining to politics economy to personal relationships but I have realized that itch stems from a very primal need to be on record so I can shore up my “oracle” status. Yeah am an oracle a self proclaimed oracle. Now I guess you are wondering when this paradigm shift happened. Well if you are a curious mind just read my previous piece titled Entry for April 02, 2007 (Comfortably Numb) .
To kick on the high gears [sic] I was never a slow starter. We have a black president in America with a bold slogan CHANGE. What the hell lets put all slogans he ran on: one Change we can believe on two, Change we need.
At a point change was a that big of a buzzword that I really contemplated naming Dylan Change Obama Kihara then I thought well lets do Change Hussein Kihara I also thought of Barak Change Kihara well lets do some math, the president elect three days removed from being president has three names everyone knows them add Change that’s four and finally add Kihara we get five pretty straight forward grade 1 0r 2 math ehe. Now let’s get to grown folks math, how many combinations of names I would end up while holding Change and Kihara constant. ( [sic] imagine holding change constant) and taping on the soon to be president names as long as I maintain three names in total. Well folks you there you have your homework and somebody give me a shout once you solve this algebra[*].

Let’s get back to the main issue; men I love tangents… Okay the President elect run on Change and surely thereby providing many of us with political ambitions a blueprint. He got into office yes only to be briefed by Boy George and I am borrowing the term Boy George from Maureen Dowd’s book[†] that Fort Knox over time has been raided this time not by pirates of Caribbean but by our beloved corporations that we have come to hate to love orchestrated by the same office he will soon occupy. Starting from Clintonian administration corporations pushed for globalization and free and fair trade only this time fair trade was only fair to the trading partners of U.S. On boy George’s defence he ran and got elected on the two premises; fear and the grand ol party’s ideology of tax cuts to the wealthiest. To give him credit he delivered and delivered big time for the corporations. Also Mr Dick got what he wanted total power no questions asked.
So bring the new President with all the 12 billion eyes watching him and a gigantic promise to straighten out what has ailed America for the last 8 years. He comes out swinging and he swings hard he assembles the most dynamic team that America can provide. His attorney general has already stated that water boarding is torture therefore implicitly declared that some laws were broken therefore someone is going to jail I will presume. The economy is tanking so what does he do he supports boy George in pushing for 1.2 Trillion govt bailout of the economy.
In short Obama is taking over the helm at a point where America has been brought to grinding crawl and yes the situation demands drastic actions. He has done a marvelous job of consulting every one but me yeah I do have ideas too...though this time I think he is doing the wrong thing in the name of saving jobs. In my view I can see him pushing and presiding over the greatest wealth transfer at the expense of our decedents to save the same pirates brought us into this dire situation in the name of capitalism. My god what happened to the great values of capitalism where market dictates the prices. Isn’t capitalism the same excuse the corps used when the good times were rolling when $300 sushi was the norm why can’t the same principles be used when the bad times kick in?
Now this is where he really baffles me for real you take 1.2 trillion of the people’s money and hand it to corporations which brought us into this mess in the first place. Then am listening to BNN and this brilliant host sit there and hype it out that there is about 3.6 Trillion in cold cash sitting out there in the sidelines. So these fat cats are sitting on the fence watching the general populous break their backs and bring back the economy.
Just to cut short this tirade am running out time to deliver this piece before inauguration hehehe typical of me with deadlines. So I was saying that I really do not like the bailout idea. Am loving how this is purging all of our bad habits and all I want is let those companies with foul trouble walk the plank let this period of attrition be a lesson to everyone that America is not indestructible in actuality it is very soft from the inside and this is the same problem that I have with Obama solution of throwing money at it and buy some more time before the final collapse.
If we need to convert to socialism lets do it wholesale wise lets convert education, health care etc etc back to public domain or if we soo love capitalism that bad let greed and the invincible hand control things..

Letting It Go

Love the greatest feeling

Off all they say

Loved once was dissed

Loved again was dumped

Then i found you

My friend my lover

My greatest feeling

The way we touched

Silly jokes we shared

I learn't to love

To love the greatest

But

God who gives takes

Miss you

I will

Your face your smile

Times we shared together indeed you were

The greatest of all Benjamin Macharia Kihara

Swinging Love Song

I heard you singing this song

A song so nice

A song of joy

A song of love

And I wanted to sing along

And I sang along

Who makes me sing

Who makes me swing

Who makes me reach out

And when I reach out

I touch you

The body

That makes me sing

That makes me swing

You are the song of my life Benjamin Macharia Kihara

More than a friend
Cant sleep cant stay still
Ma brain doing 190
On the thoughts expressway
Am losing it
Heading to the dark pitch in the horizon
Whom gonna stop me from crushing
Ma self? Notta

Chain Reaction

to those who believe in me

Alook down the ages
I see chains
gold chains, silver chains
metal chains, mental chains
a people in a paradoxical sleep
sleep-walking in a delusional cosmos

A peep across the street
I see a chained people
a brother in silver chains
a sister in gold chains
a child and mother chained to poverty
a mentally chained society
unoriented and uncertain
unjustly chained to systems

stop lets take a trip back to humanity
taking peace love unity route

It seems am a very easy guy to analyze...mmmh tip if u have noticed i have approximately same frequency with about the same periodicity... well am back but billa storo so for me to just stay relevant to this blogging world i decided to post this commentary i did sent out to Nation....

Kibaki for a Second Term
It is a prudent principle to derive sound judgment from facts which in turn should be extracted from history. Fact number one Kibaki is an economic enigma which can be backed by his long tenure as Finance Minister 1970 -1983 which translated to one of the longest stretch of prosperity in the short Kenyan history. Fast forward to year 2002 – 2007 the buck stops with him so does economic affairs of the nation. To be frank he has presided over a period where the economy is on the upturn and I will be quick to single him out as the architect of these eras. After witnessing the Kenyan economy expanding at a blazing 6.0 – 6.2 % for the period of 2006 – 2007 is a testimony of sound economic oversight.
Fact number two he is a less polarizing figure than the current crowd that is either seeking to be nominated for presidency or already running for office. Kibaki has failed miserably in playing the Kikuyu card during his tenure unlike his nemesis Raila who I believe has perfected his game in galvanizing support from his kinsmen. Raila a Nairobian parliamentarian has continued to garner or has placed a stranglehold of grass root support of Luo Nyanza to a messianic proportion. This has been on the expense of Kibaki who so far has been quiet in the press forum and has refused to play ball with Raila in every polarizing issue be it the constitution, ministerial appointments to the lesser issues like Lucy’s on and off antics with the press. He has gone quietly behind the curtains and defused every situation with statesmanship written all over his actions. To give an example on the constitution issue he threw a curve ball on Raila’s team by throwing the ball right back into the public opinion and let it be decided by all Kenyans. Unlike many leaders (read presidents) would have just proclaimed themselves to be the decider (Bush) and try to arm-wrestle Raila technically. In taking this course of action through a public referendum, a losing course on Kibaki’s account, the matter was resolved by the masses and up to now a seemingly non factor in the upcoming election, hoping it doesn’t come back as a number one premise of the elections.
Just to pick out another polarizing figure, Uhuru Kenyatta: he came into the national platform using his dad’s legacy with a political backing of the former president Moi. The former president the self made Professor wa Siasa had done his homework well and he pretty much understood the fabric of Politics in Kenya and why he needed the kikuyu vote for him to continue running the country albeit behind the scene. Basically as the president understood Uhuru would only appeal to those hardcore kikuyu still running on the founding father euphoria and the good old fond memories of that era. This kikuyu base still is the staunch KANU backers in Central province and will continue carrying KANU in the province. Further than that Uhuru Kenyatta limited appeal is his youth which is a character trait that is being split between him, Raila, Kalonzo Musyoka and a host of others who are seeking the role as Kenyan Leader.
Truly tribal alignment has been dominant in electing presidents since Section 2A came into play and will continue playing a pivotal role in our politics. We need to break away from this trend which tends to reward tribalism; blocks brilliant upcoming individuals from ascending into power and denigrates the notion of National Unity by putting individuals in ethnical bands. However values like character, brilliance, National service, Statesmanship and finally proven track record in managing robust economy amidst Challenging times should be the measuring stick on awarding or electing leaders of our Nation.
On Kibaki’s case he has shown much can be accomplished by remaining quiet and shy away from politics. Am not naïve to imply he is not a politician; it’s the kind of politics he is carrying unlike his predecessor he has managed to stay calm amidst constant perturbations from Raila and his gang and not trying to force his will on the public. Well from streamlining Kenya Revenue Agency to free Primary Education portrays good governance issues like the later are thorny and I cannot wait to see what happens to all these students after their K.C.P.E. Only by putting Kibaki back on the hot seat will we be able to have a sound synopsis of his vision.

Okay let me start by bringing yah all slow knuckle heads like me to the same page that am reading from. If you check the meaning of Hiatus in the Thasarus english (not like it is written in any other language but you are free to correct me) dictionary you will found that it is a brief break or interuption of some kinda of continuity blah blah blah. Well if i may throw the question to you, can u really ever have a long brief break? I know it sounds absurd am asking but i looked at that question again and I nearly answered YES.

I never ment to trip about ma grasp or read lack of grasp(anti-nyita thats a dilect(sheng) by the way). Forgive me for the brackets but i hope you get the drift they are ment for your easy reading. Okay that is another tanget story I am going to make....Yeah I was talking about how I meant to write on the reasons on why the long HIATUS.

To start begining this summer i find ma butt in another Geomatics shop, and if you follow ma blogs that will put you squarly sometime in Aprill and if I remember well then was the last time blogged. By the way isnt blog a new word which came with the evolution of computers? Okay back to ma ass and a new Geomatics shop and for real this was one of my breakthrough summer ever basically i have been put back in the driver seat of my career and i can really see the end of the tunnel. This job has placed me in position that I thought only existed to a few choosen from knocking doors of multi million dollar Mansion to driving me through the backroutes of beautifull Ontario and much of its endowed water scenaries to even vibing the Governer General of Canada and yes i never got an autograph from her fuck thanks to ma ignorant ass i didnt know who i was shooting ma mouth to. Nini if you read this i know you like marsh you never know when to shut up. Yeah i vibed her for like 15 mins while she was walking her two dogs i cant even remember thier names but she has a black bad ass dog which got away from the leash and went for a her neighbours dog and judging fro the dog exchange it wasnt pretty. Then come two days after the encounter during Canada day celebration i see her seating next to Canada's premier and am trying to place her where i met her and i was like stupid you talked to her for like 15 mins yesterday. Back to blowing whistle i got somedace time with Aurora's mayor and that was ana 10 mins talk that went from the rapid growth of Aurora to watershortage they were experiencing at that time. Guess i was keeping good company eh....

Today i dont wanna talk about sports but heck Barry Bonds tied Hank Aaron homerun mark of 755 this week but just for point of me being on the record it was tainted and i never give a damn about it. The jays stink that translates to another year of no show on the playoffs the Leafs are in good company i guess for a momment leafs camp at the underachivers felt cold didnt it Holla at me Allan I know you feel the same pain as I do. All I wanted to talk of the back routes of Ontario men I for the last Three weeks I was blessed to work in one of the most calming refions i have ever been. This place put me in a place that i wanted all these things that my two cents cant afford. Yo this country is beautifull from serene lakes which make you want to buy a cottage somewhere to seeing people fishing and having fun in water and wishing that Iwould get my boat. Dont be suprised if you see me 2 years from now with a pick-up truck dragging a boat. Two steps from that set up there are the ranches with thier sprawling fields with Gurnsey bulls grazing next to a grass field with rolled up bales of grass ready to be picked up for put away. Sorry folks but you have to take ma word for what its worth i never brought visuals to back up ma story but thats a mistake am not making next time i take off to one of these trips.

Now marsh the day dreamer kicked it to the 5th gear and i started drawing up the utopian scenario what if i had a ranch on the shores of one of this lakes with a beatifull farm house which could double up as ma cottage with a humogous 58 footer boat wont that be having ma cake and eating it.

Just imagine

Just a follow up I wrote once again to chuck and this time i wasnt disgusted at em Dinos but this time i had ma tail between ma legs yet with a lot syke for playoffs especially coming from a emphatic win over the Pistons i had to come and say something.

As usual i always put ma conversation with chuck for yah all to follow up and comment.
this is what i had to say to the great sports play by play commentator.
"Hi Chuck,
Hi I have been on an eating frenzy especially Salami n cheese n guess what am running out on those two items though I still have plenty Muskoka onions infact a bushel full. Finally raptors have managed to claw themselves in a lofty spot in the east after a shaky first quarter of the season. If you can remember I wrote to at those times when I was whining on the issue of raptors tv going National and I was missing out on some games and I was at the point I was spelling doom if they had a turnover like the past five ones.

But I guess under the stewardship of a very capable GM Colangelo and the coach of the Year Sam those doomsday predictions just take ma oracle status down a notch. In ‘Oracle’ I mean my self proclaimed title. Kinda sarcastic but am loving it especially I had put it out there in my blog that we will be in this rosy spot. Plus correctly selecting The Pistons a no brainer to lead the East and Bulls to be practically where they are.

Yeah I had ma doubts yes but I have to do ma duty and send ma apologies to Sam and the boys for questioning Sam’s decision on playing Bosh while he was hurting. Just following up what I said last time you are our voice out there please pass ma apologies and the same time Congrats to the Dinos.

Hoping to see you at the ACC sometime in the near future. Raptor playoff baby."
I will most definately put his responcefor u to ona.

There is no pain that am recieving ma lips move but no words come out. I am looking for someone to ease ma pain.. If Mathers saw ma knock off pulgarism of his work he may puke but to put it in context of how i feel like right now ma head feels like two balloons just empty globes full air instead of that grey matter that separates mankind from all other primates.

Yeah am staring at a supposedly six page report which is due on Wednesday but am still at page one yet i had the whole weekend to work on it. But immediately i put pink floyd on just like a flick of a switch somewhere upstairs ma ma whole body starts functioning. My fingers itch to write my mind aches to start thinking. This is no mistake i picked Floyd to start my full court press week towards the finals i knew i was lacking in the inspiration department and Mathers has never failed me.

Yeah the big dance is about to start on both ends of issues i have been throwing out for you all to digest. Yeah the final exams are here plus playoffs are here too. Am all excited coz this semester has been the most brightest since i started my stint at cracking them books and am loving it i just need to pick up some steam maybe i should try some redbull it's supposedly claims to give u wings huh... Well thats one section that am glad is looking up.

Yeah come to the next finals playoffs baby both bball and hockey...In five years were are back to the big dance and guess am pulling out my pompons and i have started writing some cheering lines coz am going to be loud this time. Yeah baby raptors are guranteed for a playoff birth and if they can manage to roll over the Heat, Majic and Philly and Detroit we will hopefully get some homecourt advantage atleast for the first round of playoffs. Mind you the optimism "rolling over Detroit" yeah its the same kind of optism i did put out at the begining of the season am happy i did not have to eat ma words. I am excited about the whole rosy scenario and for sure we will be going to the second round. Dont start calling me the oracle ....but well what the hell go ahead and call me what the heck atleast i did proclaim the dinos would be sitting somewhere up in a pedestal in the east. I did talk about the pistons, the bulls , and the wiz to be where they are at yeah including Heat i had stated they would implode they seemed for sometime to pan out as the "oracle" had predicted untill diesel start to pour out numbers like those when he was in Majic uniform. Yeah if you think am full of shit go back to ma very first 2 blog entries you will find out that aint a bullshitter.

The leafs are hurting for sure especially the way they gat slaughter at Maddison square gardens they were given a beating of ages. Am afraid even if they make it post season they wont do much especially if they get in the back door and land no 8 position and they have to play Buffalo... for that i dont want to speculate on that team especially right now Sundin is on a slump you should have watched the buds captian busting his butt out there i think he took more shots to the goal that were supposed to be passes instead. He is trying to score that bad that i think he is hurting that number one line i wish he could take the pass first route and wait for his scoring game to come to him. In the ranger game i didnt see forechecking monster coming out of him neither did he win the battles on the boards. Lets cross our fingers and hope that the backdoor will be still open for the leafs.

Now that i have disposed some off that steam i hope i can get some steam to roll ma train down the Library and officially declare war on the books. And guess if you think am going to war looking for weapons of mass destruction i know i wont be finding any in the lib. For yah all that visit ma blog lets meet again on 19th Aprill and i will recap that war too.

Hey keep them comments coming i appreciate them all.

Back to Profitability..

Lets start with probability I mean most of the people who are going to read this now two or twenty years from now will tell you they love being profitable I mean they love to have some extra cash in their pockets. Maybe and I will say maybe with all these question marks surrounding it ?maybe? Twenty years from now society won’t judge people with how much extra cash they in their pockets ?maybe? accountability will be the legal tender or as other pundits would put it as the measuring stick or ?maybe? honesty or ?maybe? or ?maybe? How many children you will make . Whatever the legal tender of those times will be and again I will say ?maybe? Humanity for sure would love to be profitable.
Okay maybe am using the word profitable in the wrong context but linguistics you can holla and re-educate this imposter on proper usage of words. Maybe accountants may have the correct definition of profitability. By the way most of ma boys have either turned to be accountants so yah all can feel free to strip me off ma strips. Mark you the strips are self imposed. So if I may continue the gobbledygook yes I know so far I haven’t made sense but well keep on reading after all you all continue buying and listen 50 cents albums yet the dude doesn’t make much sense though for sure he is earning a lots of cents of your backs so sit and read on am about to make some cents from all this gibberish.
Anyways since I have bored the f out of you before I was talking about profits so let me make ma impression of what I think about it and why I would waste an hour or two on this profit business. Since my parents decided I was misbehaving and I was growing horns out of scrawny skull yeah I was becoming a little devil and put me into a detention camp (DC) they called a boarding school and before three years were over I had formulated this philosophy please note the transition from being a little devil to being a little Aristotle. The philosophy I formulate was like this that just like a business my life needed to be evaluated on whether i was making a profit or loss. If my mum (she is the one who came up with idea of what to do with my little horns) could read this I know for sure she would thump her chest and say see what my little project turned out to be….. while in the DC In became aware of the need of trying to be positive and keep tabs on ma development otherwise ma skinny behind would have face the brunt of angry teachers please read as jail keepers who made sure the report card ie the balance sheet showed a good grade yeah see keeping the analogy going grades equals to either profit or loss.
So far I have only manage to deflate my story line that consisted of this rosy idea of what to write but I feel so lame right now you can never imagine I dedicated the last two hours to come up to this..... basketball…yeah I gat you now. The dinos of late have been have been on a tear they have chewed and spit out whatever the schedule has put in their way. For two years I have sat down watching them short changing us funs read the shareholders two years in a row without turning even a quarter of profitability.
I can sit back and yell to all the naysayers out there those people who probably read my earlier transcripts the ones I proclaimed that Raptors would be the beast of the east. Last month I went shopping for salami n cheese Chuck holla coz in January on top o winning three accolades ie Rookie of the month Garbo, coach of the month, and player of the month CB4 they capped it by turning their first profit. Am not saying this while having high hopes that they will start paying dividends asap but as all who have injected some capital(hope) in any business just keep on rolling and when the time of balancing the books ie playoff we will get paid.
Well Chuck if u get to read this I am really tempted to bring out the salami n cheeze right now so i can have something to eat whilst the tide start receeding and am made to eat ma words.....

Chuck Swirsky is a one hell of a bball commentator he surely made our ordeal through previous season just easy coz it was brutal at this point last season, can anyone remember what our stats was?
4-17 or was it 2-19?
So i decided to write to Chuck with a plight from viewers who are missing raptor games due to the solemn reason that raptor tv went national and therefore sportscenter cant televise raptor games..i understand there is lots of econmics involved but imagine if they go back into lossing ways am pretty sure raptor base will erode fast n it will start hurting those economics. Is Colangello any where near reading this?
Anyways for those masses who love the dinos and cant afford to order raptor Tv voice your displeasure let the Raptor franchise know that we were patient and we will be unforgiving if they go back to thier lossing ways.
hey this is the Piece i wrote to Chuck hoping he will reply and u guess right i will keep you posted
Marsh wrote..................
Hi Chuck,
First time writing to you but i guess its about time ehhh.

Now raptors are kicking some ass i guess it give guys like me a voice to go yapping about em dinos but you know pple like me feel left out by this deal of raptors tv going national. Men missed yesterdays game and as our voice out there do you care to put word out there that we were left out while we stuck on our team for the previous season when they surely stunk.

By the way just looking back do you think playing CB4 while he was hurt was a good idea while we had all this underplayed talent stuck on the bench? CB4 Surely didnt have the lift n the 18 footer gimmies werent there. That stretch when he opted to to hoist one i was like is where is Garba? Is he around for the rebound....?and that used to be gimmies for him from that range.

Hey Chuck its an early saturday morning n i have to go show ma sister the ropes on driving a stick
have a nice day wont you?

Its always sweet anytime you can borrow a line from your favarourite musician or person for that matter. So am gonna start this blog with this extract from Pink Floyd's The Wall album "Is Anybody Out There?" and if there is someone  i say " Nod if u can hear me" and yes both from Floyd.

Am asking this coz i thought that if i have readers out there by now i could have touch a nerve and probably would have sparked some great debate or touch someone  the "right spot"  and that too would have resulted in some great momments. I stated earlier that i was soliciting for some responce and yeah i wanna feed off from you all.......

Okay back to the business that brought me to this page today. Its Raptors and yeah yesterday i was pumped up waiting for them to annahiliate the nets but that did not happen instead i was dismayed enough to pick up a vacuum cleaner and start cleaning Maggie's room. Incase you are wondering who is Maggie and why i would be cleaning her room while watching Raptor Ball. She is one of the four siblings i have and atlast am living with her. Yeah that game was a bore  though there was couple of flashes of great ball movement plus i manage to catch Jorge Garbajosa hassling and making  a nice save. There is some positives TJ ford ,parker guy showed potential for greatness but Bosh had a rather dissapointing night out his shoting was out of sync his money shot wasnt going down and he had two offensive fouls actually the second one sent me  to get the vacuum. Pathetic it was and am hoping they will make amends when they play Arenas and the Wiz.

Now changing the topic lets Talk about John Kerry.. he has managed to get into ma tool of the day corner.Men this senator from Massachusets trying to run with his foot in his mouth. Yeah i agree he should shut up and wait for the democratic primary.

Yeah too much of chatter by the way for the past week i have hit one of the lowest in ma brief life  nowander i went AWOL for a bit so those well wishers out there i dont take mastercard, visa, cheques but hugs and kisses are like cash accepted everywhere.

Anyway can someone in Kenya enlighten me on the politica situation there .Tinga was in Canada fundraising $50 was the entrance fee men is he out of his mind? i guess the political machine there is just starting yeah i hope pple see Kibaki for what he is a economics enigma.

Yeah am back by the way last time i had Discrete Maths that went well...

Hope to here from someone anyone  out there..

Peace

Lets do this..

Yesterday i left it at the issue of midterm election men this is fun to watch. From my opinion Speaker Herstert should have resigned and appeace democrats trophy takers and let this foley saga slide coz it has become so volatile and the more it drags the more he looks like a dear in the headlights just waiting for them to find the smoking cannon. Well this is eroding the GOP's base and i cant wait for a change in guard both in the Senate and the Congress so we can impeach the bush yeah impeach him...... U wonder how i arrived to this  Conclusion but remmember the wiretaps, the war in Iraq actually in there u start counting the bogus proofs he tabled as premises for argument on invading Iraq.He preyed on the fear on 911 and used the goodwill of all people who were supporting him especially after 911.

I know i can continue ranting about this but yes make him answer all these under oath..

Too much politics i guess its never enough. So i was reading the paper and guess what Scientists of University of Michigan are working on. Would  you believe me if i told you that remember the trick that Harry Porter pulled with the coat yes the cloaking  devise is now possible. Those guys at motor city are working on a cloaking devise that can hide a cylinder as big as my melon. basically you know light travels in a straightline  which kid doesnt know that???? ..eeeeeehhhh but they are able to curve the light around the object how cool is that?Is the speed of light 3.0 * 10^8m/s? immagine being able to control that speed and make it bend how crazy is that?

That brings me to ma conclution this is gonna make like a nut case but i hope someone is gonna call me that so i can rip his stripes.. anyways i was saying if you wanna get a heads up on what new inventions scientist are working on please i recomend start watching sci-fi. By the way what happen on teleporting machine (thanks to Star wars) last time i heard about it they had manage to teleport a proton. Imagine in the future being able to say beam me up scot.....

Wow you wont believe this i had lost track of days yeah TGIF.........weekend is here yeah that reminds me to go to the beer store but.....there is always a butt somewhere lol i Still have discrete maths on monday and i dont wanna screw up with that one.

Till tomorrow Saturtday shmarterday holla at yah boy.....

Well this has to be impressive but i dont have any impressive material to post so am just gonna put ma thoughts as disorganised as they are.

On subject of school it sucks big tyme.

On sports thank God there is plenty to watch especially we have leafs doing thier thing and raptors ball is gonna start soon.

Football me Cowboys all the way and am really happy T.O saw the end zone three time last Sunday. Yess we have Eli on Monday........Monday nite football baby.

Hey by the way Raptors have a decent team for once lets wait and see how they open aganist the Eastern teams.

Well Nets are beatable;boston tough team but lets hope Pierce stay in IL for a bit. Knicks are laughable and who is thier couch? Isaaah Tomas hahahahahha.

Detroit well detroit is still a tough nut but no Big Ben.That brings me to the Bulls they are say the team am expecting to lead the East or to be the most dissapointing team given they have beefed up their interior with Big Ben's precence.

Shaq and the heat am expecting that team to implode there is ma "oracle" prediction.

Well for the rest am like... suprise me coz i really dont care about them coz Raptors will be kicking yah ass all season....

Well i still have Discrete maths to take care off and  hold on what about the midterm election in the states baby !!!!!!baby...

Thanks to floppy reasult of war in Iraq,Foley saga, high gas prices  though they have been down but did u hear opec has decided to cut down on production well that wont be a big factor eeehhhh... americans have short memory lol i didnt say that loud did i?

well social insecurity, wiretaps, the do nothing congress, LouDobbs and his book,Woodgate's book men this list is endless let me save some for next blog right..well all the factors factored in the equation called election my "oracle" prediction is wow let me see i will blog next time about it .

People am gonna keep you posted i luv this who inveted blogging
